Who we are

Kosh is an iPhone app that keeps one shared money plan for a family Household. You can reach us at hello@ourkosh.com.

What Kosh collects

Kosh collects only what it needs to run your Household’s plan. It does not collect bank or broker logins.

  • Your email address, to send sign-in codes
  • Your display name, shown to the other Members of your Household
  • Household data you type or import: payments, holdings, loans, insurance, Goals and rules
  • Your device’s notification token, to send due-date notifications
  • Analytics records of app use, with no money amounts, names, emails or folio numbers

Why Kosh uses it

Kosh shows no ads, takes no product commissions, and your data is not sold.

  • To sign you in and keep your sign-in safe
  • To show your Household’s plan to its Members
  • To send notifications on due dates
  • To read the numbers from statements you import
  • To see which screens are used, so the app can be made better
  • To answer when you write to us

Who processes it

Kosh uses a small number of processors. Each one gets only what its job needs.

  • Cloudflare: hosting (Workers), the D1 database, and sign-in email (Email Service)
  • OpenPanel, self-hosted by Kosh: product analytics without amounts or names
  • OpenCode Console: an AI model reads loan, insurance, ULIP, PPF and NPS statement text
  • Identifiers are removed before that text is sent, and the provider’s terms bar training on it

How long it is kept

Statement files and their passwords are not kept. They are deleted at once, as soon as the numbers are read.

Household data is kept until the Household is deleted, or until a Member asks for their data to be deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Write to hello@ourkosh.com from the email you sign in with.

A Member removed from a Household loses sign-in at once.

Children

Kosh is not for people under 18. Only adults can be Members of a Household.
